Austin Landscape Design is a Melbourne based landscape design service developing landscapes and gardens for residential and commercial projects.
Our team is passionate about creating exciting spaces that deliver in both their functionality and aesthetics. We share a broader vision to reduce our ecological footprint by aligning ourselves with the values of environmental sustainability and using innovative materials and methods.
Working together with a client to achieve their vision is at the core of what we do. We understand that good communication is paramount in order to accommodate each individual client's needs. CHRIS AUSTIN
Chris Austin has spent his entire working life engaged with plants in one way or another. With a love of being out in nature, he started his career in various outdoor roles including nursery work, greens-keeping, maintaining gardens and also building them. During this time, due to an ever increasing interest and concern for the environment, he began part time studies of Sustainable Development. Whilst engaging in his other passion, music, for which he occasionally spent time touring around Australia in an alternative bluegrass band, he decided to channel some of that creative energy into landscape design. That was six years ago and Chris has never looked back.
Bringing everything together by drawing on his experience and passion with gardens, his studies of Sustainable Development and applying his creative edge to design, Chris and his team of designers and architects aim to deliver a positive, tailored experience for our clients and deliver excellence.
Chris has seen a range of projects through to completion from residential projects of all sizes to commercial projects. His achievements include traveling interstate to design play-scapes for a national childcare centre company, having delivered over 20 projects to date.
Chris has studied a BA in Sustainable Development at Murdoch University and Diploma of Landscape Design at Swinburne University.
